• Membership & Welfare Data: Information submitted via our registration forms, including regional diaspora chapter alignments and details required for our bereavement safety net configuration.
• Inquiry Data: Any specific text, requests, or project proposals submitted via our “Contact Us” or intake portals.

• Stripe Card Processing: Transactions made via credit or debit card are routed through our secure PCI-compliant processor, Stripe. Boruma Diaspora CBO never stores, sees, or retains your credit card number or CVV on our servers. All card storage and payment handshakes are managed directly by Stripe.
• Integrated M-Pesa Paybill & Co-operative Bank Collections: When you use our designated M-Pesa Paybill channel tied directly to our Co-operative Bank of Kenya account, we process transactions managed through Co-operative Bank’s instant mobile remittance settlement system. In this process, we collect your registered mobile phone number, transaction amount, timestamp, the unique Safaricom M-Pesa transaction code, and the corresponding Co-operative Bank ledger reference. We do not have access to, nor do we ever request, your private M-Pesa PIN. [1]
• Direct Co-operative Bank Transfers: For tracking direct bank-to-bank transfers, electronic funds transfers (EFT), or direct over-the-counter deposits into our official accounts at Co-operative Bank of Kenya, we collect the depositor’s name, originating bank details, transfer date, and transaction reference numbers to verify and allocate your funds correctly. • Technical Log Data: IP addresses, browser variants, device details, and general website page navigation analytics to continuously improve our user interface and speed up performance.

• Managing Membership Records: Processing your official CBO registration, allocating voting metrics, and deploying bereavement/welfare support alerts.
• Securing Financial Payouts: Facilitating donation transactions and matching your funds to your preferred constitutional pillar (e.g., Youth Empowerment or Green Climate Action) regardless of whether you used Stripe, the integrated M-Pesa/Co-op Bank Paybill, or direct Co-operative Bank transfers.
• Communication & Support: Sending instant payment receipts, validating automated transaction codes, delivering essential quarterly project impact reports, and answering structural questions via our helpdesk.
• Security Safeguards: Blocking malicious cyber intrusions, checking for mobile money or credit card fraud, and preserving platform integrity. [1]

• Payment Gateways & Financial Institutions: We share transaction metrics with Stripe to process cards, and securely cross-reference transaction metadata with Safaricom (M-Pesa) and Co-operative Bank of Kenya to reconcile financial accounts, verify settlements, and prevent transaction duplication.
• Legal Compliance: We will release information only if explicitly required by judicial authorities under governing regulations, such as Kenya’s Data Protection Act, or international financial oversight panels.

• Access & Export: The right to request a digital breakdown of all personal data and historical ledger records we hold about you.
• Correction & Edits: The right to amend or correct incomplete or obsolete membership records.
• Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): The right to request that we delete your contact records, provided they do not conflict with mandatory tax compliance audits for historical financial receipts.
• Withdrawal of Consent: The right to opt out of non-essential emails or quarterly community project newsletters at any time.
